4. Time for self-reflection
It’s time to get out of bed or up from the mat. If you practiced meditation, you are probably in the mood for some self-reflection. Make yourself a nice cup of tea and sit down in your favourite chair for 10 minutes of self- reflection. This is also a great time to structure your day. Go through what you want to get out of the day and create an adjustable plan accordingly.
5. Exchanging coffee with green tea
We understand that some people really must have their coffee in the morning. However, it can be great to try out green tea instead of coffee for about 2 weeks. See for yourself if you feel better than when you were drinking coffee! Green tea is a smart substitute for coffee as it’s a lot healthier and not as addictive. It’s high in antioxidants and has a great deal of caffeine, so it does the job if you get rid of your coffee addiction.
6. Read for personal growth
Reading 10 minutes of an inspiring text can do wonders for your levels of motivation throughout your day. Get a good collection of personal development books in order to keep your inspiration level high.
7. 15 minutes exercise
You should aim to get in at least 15 minutes of exercise in the morning. The exercise does not have to be extreme. It can be something as simple as going for a power-walk or doing some yoga exercises. This will get your blood flowing and really kick-start your day. No need for coffee!
8. Prepare a healthy breakfast
Nothing feels better than a nice, healthy meal after exercising. Prepare something light to eat that makes you feel amazing.
9. Listen to uplifting music
Listening to uplifting music does wonders for your mood! You can do this during your morning exercise, at home or on your way to work. You will definitely feel happier when you arrive at your workspace. You can even spice it up with some crazy dance moves! That will for sure put you in a good flow and a standard routine here at YWS.
10. Smile at yourself in the mirror for 30 seconds
Sounds crazy, but if you smile at yourself in the mirror for 30 seconds you are sending signals to your brain that you are happy. So even if you’re in a bad mood, it will actually be turned around for the better. Try it out and see for yourself.
