Being stuck with a problem is like locking yourself in jail – You need help to get out. Yeah sure, you might be able to construct an elaborate escape plan as a way to procrastinate and avoid something, but it takes a lot longer to escape than simply asking someone to open the door.
This is how to move forward in life, when you don’t know what to do.
If you’re the stubborn type, with an ego too big for your neck to carry, you can take the long way and find the solution yourself. This can be done by “chunking up” and looking at the bigger picture. Sometimes we get so stuck on the minor details that we forget to see the forest for the trees.
Or you can stand on the shoulders of giants and learn from someone who has already made your mistake and found the solution. There are several levels with this:
A basic level is to ask someone who knows the solution. If you know someone personally, or you can reach out to them through the magical internet. Next best is to get a book (or two) and learn about the topic as best as you can. This is low cost, high time investment.
You can also find people on the same journey as you. This can be through a simple Meet Up group, or even a mastermind group. You are the average of the five people you spend most time with, so spend time with those you wish to be.
Next step is to find a seminar or an eCourse. The prices vary, but generally speaking they are a medium cost and a medium time investment.
The best thing you could ever do is find a mentor. Find someone who has the results you are looking for and invest in working with them one on one. It is the highest investment, with the lowest time investment. If you value your time more, this is the option for you. Finding the right mentor can take some work, but is completely worth it. Shop around! There are a lot of great ones, there are even more average ones and there will always be the odd snake-oil salesman looking to make a quick buck. Look for testimonials, get feedback from past clients but most importantly be crystal clear on what you are wanting to do!
It always comes back to your vision. It always comes back to your big picture. It always comes back down to the WHY you want to do what you want to do.
Bring us your problem and if we aren’t your solution, we will gladly refer you to someone who will help you realise your vision.
